Clarkstown Town Board Appoints Valerie Moldow as the Next Town Councilwoman
(New City) – The Clarkstown Town Board this evening voted to appoint Valerie Moldow to fill the council seat previously held by George Hoehmann, which became vacant following his overwhelming election victory to become the Town of Clarkstown Supervisor.
Moldow, a licensed real estate associate broker, community leader, and mother of 3, was chosen following a non-partisan selection process conducted by the Supervisor’s Screening Committee in consultation with the Town Board.
“Valerie shares Clarkstown’s values and brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience in the business world and her deep involvement in our community. She shares my new Administration’s vision of reducing spending and making Clarkstown an affordable place to live. Valerie will do what is right and brings a high level of integrity and ethics with a commitment to putting people over politics. We welcome her to the Board, and look forward to working with her,” Supervisor George Hoehmann said.
In addition to her Real Estate career, she has been very active in professional and service organizations throughout Clarkstown and Rockland County. She is a current member of Leadership Rockland, the Clarkstown Bridge Task Force, Keep Rockland Beautiful, and the Nanuet Civic Association, serving as its Vice President.
She also volunteers with the Coalition for the Homeless, Meals on Wheels, and was a Deacon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Congers, NY.
Moldow is a member of the National and New York State Association of Realtors, a member of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, and is a certified distressed property expert.
