The Town of Clarkstown is holding a 9/11 Memorial Rededication and Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the 9/11 Memorial Park immediately adjacent to Town Hall.  This year’s commemoration will be particularly meaningful as the Town rededicates the newly renovated 9/11 memorial in honor of the 15th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

In addition to a new black granite memorial, the Town upgraded the park with landscaping surrounded by bricks and blue stone, replaced the water feature, and added benches, providing a serene environment to reflect on the tragic events that occurred 15 years ago.

At the event, Supervisor George Hoehmann and Town officials will honor the memory of those who perished on September 11, 2001 and the strength and courage of their families and friends from Rockland who continue to mourn their loss.

The names of the Rockland County individuals who perished will be read.

Media coverage is invited.
