Clarkstown Announces New Website

(New City, NY) – Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann announced the launch of the brand new Clarkstown website today. The Town’s URL will remain the same: www.clarkstown.org. The new site has a sleek new design that works well on a desktop as well tablet, phone and other mobile devices. The new site is profoundly more visually inviting, efficient, and user friendly.

Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann said, “We have made significant improvements to our site by making it compatible with devices across all platforms. It allows residents and businesses to access information in a variety of ways on any device. Our goal was to help residents more quickly and easily find the information and services they need.”

The new Clarkstown site will lead visitors to many of the most frequently requested types of information, like parks programs, the 311 constituent requests app and other basic information for town services. The new site also emphasizes transparency making Town Board and other boards and commissions agendas and information more readily accessible. There is a helpful Google Calendar feature on the site, which will make it easier for residents to add town events to their own personal calendars.

The Town is also going to be re-launching a new design for its weekly e-newsletter, a great resource that features what is going on in Clarkstown, events, meetings, and important information. Residents can sign up for the e-newsletter on the new site.

“How we interact with each other and our institutions, like government, has changed dramatically over the past five years. We are a visual society, with screens at the tip of our fingers all day, seeking to maximize our time and efficiently manage our lives. The new Clarkstown website is a reflection of that,” said Supervisor Hoehmann.

“I invite residents to take the time to explore the new website and email us with any suggestions,” said Supervisor Hoehmann. Residents can email suggestions to webmaster@clarkstown.org.
