Highway Superintendent

Bob Milone is a lifelong Clarkstown resident with over 30 years’ experience in construction, 10 years as a licensed contractor, and over 23 years at a large utility company in the construction department. While at the utility company he also served 17 years as a union representative in various leadership roles. Bob has a Certificate in Labor Management from Cornell University in NYC.


The Clarkstown Highway Department services:

**1,400 town roads
**45 miles of sidewalks
**125 miles of streams
**12 commuter lots
**68 bus shelters

The Highway Department responsibilities include leaf and yard waste pickup; snow removal and ice control for over 300 miles of roads and sidewalks; maintenance of Right of Way; emergency response to road issues; street lighting outages; traffic signals; stream and culvert maintenance; road repairs; sidewalk maintenance; storm cleanup; and infrastructure improvements.

Clarkstown is fortunate to have highly skilled employees at the Highway Department that do an outstanding job. Bob will use his experiences to give them the leadership and support to run a more efficient and productive workforce to best serve the Town of Clarkstown.
