Welcome to the Department of Engineering and Facilities Management
The Department of Engineering & Facilities Management is responsible for the following functions within the Town:
- Survey and Engineering design for Town projects
- Management of Town construction projects
- Review of site work and land disturbances performed as part of a building permit
- Review and issuance of land disturbance and tree removal permits
- Implementation of the Town's Stormwater Management Program" and enforcement of the Town's Stormwater Management regulations
- Review of commercial site plans and residential subdivisions for technical sufficiency
- Inspection of commercial sites and residential subdivisions for compliance with approved plans
- Review and issuance of Floodplain Development permits
- Operation and maintenance of Town-owned grounds and facilities including Town Hall, the Police and Courts Building, Town garage, community recreation centers and parks.
- Operation and maintenance of the Town's sanitary sewer collection system
- Operation, maintenance and oversight of the Town's closed sanitary landfill
- Oversight of the Town's household garbage and bulk pickup contract and recycling contract.
