ACCEPTABLE HOUSEHOLD BULK
Refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, microwaves, stoves/ranges, room air-conditioners, push lawn mowers/snow blowers (gas removed), treadmills. Refrigerator and freezer doors must be removed, according to NY State Penal Law § 270.10 Creating a Hazard. There might be a slight delay in pickup of these and scrap metal materials since these are picked up in a separate truck. Sofas, chairs, mattress, carpeting and padding tightly rolled, bundled, tied not exceeding 5 ft. in length, storm/screen windows and doors, interior closet and room doors. Small quantities "not more than 2 bundles, no longer than 5 feet and no heavier than 50 lbs. each will be collected of the following material:
scrap lumber, home furnishing products, electrical/plumbing fixtures, plaster, wallpaper, empty paint cans, wallboard, paneling, linoleum and ceramic tile flooring.

UNACCEPTABLE BULK
The following materials are "not included in the monthly bulk pickup program but are the responsibility of the "do- it-yourself" homeowner or agreements made between the homeowner and his home improvement/trade contractor or residential carter. Contractors should not tell homeowners to leave out unacceptable bulk for the "Town" to pick up. Furnaces and boilers, central air-conditioning units, pool heaters/liners/ladders/diving boards, windows, outside doors, garage doors, sliding glass doors, lumber, decks, porches, sheds, railroad ties, fences, tree stumps, grass clippings, soil, rocks, stones, concrete and asphalt, automobile parts, barbecue propane tanks, pallets, *tires. *Tires can be disposed of by residents at the Solid Waste Facility. Electronic equipment, including televisions and computers, will not be picked up by the garbage carters. Electronic equipment must be taken to the Hazardous Waste Facility in Pomona. Please call 845-364-2444 for more information on that program.
