SupervisorHoehmann, Town Board Appoint Adrienne Carey to Council Seat
Carey pledges to make local government more efficient and accountable to taxpayers

(New City) – Clarkstown Supervisor and the Town Board voted this evening and appointed Adrienne Carey as Councilwoman to the Clarkstown Town Board.

Carey, a Registered Nurse Administrator, community leader, and mother of 4, was selected from a list of qualified applicants submitted by the Supervisor’s Screening Committee.

“We are proud to have Adrienne as a member of the board and that the people of Clarkstown have full representation,” said SupervisorHoehmann.“A Nanuet resident, Adrienne is a recognized nursing professional and an individual with a deep commitment to public service. I look forward to working with her as we continue to make Clarkstown a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”

In addition to her nursing career, she has been very active in professional and service organizations throughout Clarkstown and Rockland County. She is affiliated with the Professional Nurses Association of Rockland, and Rockland Road Runners.Carey was a pastEvent Director for Nyack Hospital’s Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk.

She volunteers with the Nanuet Little League, has volunteered with Clarkstown Soccer, and OMM Soccer Leagues, and is a Religious Educator, Catechist and Children’s Liturgist for St. Anthony’s Parish Church in Nanuet.

“I am honored for the opportunity to represent the great people of Clarkstown as the newest council member,” said Mrs. Carey. “I look forward to collaborating with a hardworking board to promote positive change for the community while making local government more efficient and accountable to the people I now serve.”

Adrienne Carey fills the seat recently vacated by ValerieMoldow.
