Clarkstown Town Clerk’s Office Open Early on First Day
of Sales for the Leftover Deer Management Permits (DMP)!
a further convenience to Clarkstown’s sporting
residents, Clarkstown Town Clerk Justin Sweet is
opening the Town Clerk’s Office at 6 AM on November 1, 2011. This is the first
day that leftover deer management permits (DMP) will go on sale, on a
first-come, first-serve basis. Leftover DMP’s will be available by the
traditional lottery method for the following areas: 1C, 3M, 3R, 3S, 7H, 8A, 8F,
8G, 8H, 8J, 8N, 9A and 9F. Additional information about the availability of
leftover DMP’s may be found on the NYS DEC’s website at http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/6399.html,
or by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at (845) 639-2010. All other services of
the office will also be available.
Deer Management Plan was adopted after a public comment period. The State has
posted its Assessment of Public Comment on the draft NYS Deer Management Plan,
2012-2016 at www.dec.ny.gov/animals/7211.html.
DEC has prepared this Assessment of Public Comment as a brief overview of what
seemed to be the principal issues identified with the draft plan, andoffer their response
to those issues.
