Time Is Running Out On The Old Super Saver Bus Ticket Rates

The County of Rockland is increasing the cost of SuperSaver Bus Tickets.  SuperSaver Bus Tickets, which are sold at the Clarkstown Town Clerk’s Office, are currently $9.00 for a sheet of ten tickets.  Beginning Monday, May 16th, the price of the SuperSaver bus tickets will be $11.00 for a sheet of ten tickets.

However, the old tickets will still be accepted until Sunday, June 5th.  Therefore, anyone planning on purchasing sheets of SuperSaver Bus Tickets for travel between May 16th and June 5th should come in and buy those tickets before May 16th at the current $9.00 rate.  Riders can save on the increased rate between May 16th and June 5th if they buy the tickets at the old rate which expires on May 15th.

Town Clerk Justin Sweet stated “I urge riders who are looking to save some money to buy tickets for travel on TOR and Tappan Zee Express buses between May 16th and June 5th now.  This will allow you to save $2.00 per sheet while the new price is phased in.  I will continue to alert residents of any opportunity to save money in these difficult economic times.”

As of June 5th, the old tickets will no longer be accepted and riders must present the new tickets only.  After June 5th, old ticket sheets may be returned to the Department of Public Transportation, Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building T, Pomona along with the extra $2.00 for credit towards purchasing new $11.00 ticket sheets.
