Thank you to the Clarkstown Garden Club for sponsoring and dedicating a Blue Star Memorial at Congers Memorial Park to honor all our local veterans and active duty military on October 12th.

As of October 6th the Town's 225 Anniversary exhibit is now open! Thanks to all who donated or loaned artifacts and images to help us tell the story of the last 225 years in Clarkstown.

Today Supervisor George Hoehmann and Councilman Frank Borelli joined Senator David Carlucci and Assemblyman Kenneth P. Zebrowski in their announcement of securing $500,000 to restore the Vanderbilt/Onderdonck Historic Park

Supervisor Hoehmann, and Council members Borelli and Carey joined Assemblyman Zebrowski and others in recognizing Ryan for her hard fought competition on behalf of all of us at the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio on the U.S. Women's Rugby team.

Supervisor Hoehmann and Councilwoman Adrienne Carey were honored to attend the Rockland County Office of Veterans Affairs ceremony celebrating the 71st anniversary of signing the treaty to end WW II on September 2nd.

Congratulations to Clarkstown's newest Eagle Scout Shane Walsh. For his Eagle Scout project, Shane enhanced, honored and beautified the outside of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9215 in Upper Nyack.

Welcome to Clarkstown, Foodtown of Valley Cottage! The grocery store opened this weekend (August 6th) in the former A&P shopping center in Valley Cottage.

On July 26th, Supervisor Hoehmann and Councilman Frank Borelli congratulated two businesses in Clarkstown! Carpet One relocated to 300 Rt. 59 east in Nanuet, after 25 years in a different location in Nanuet, and The Tile Shop for their grand opening!

July 25th, Supervisor Hoehmann and Highway Superintendent DiZenzo were joined by Maser Consulting, Interstate Paving, and Clarkstown Executive Park for a ceremony to reconstruct Clarkstown Executive Blvd. and Corporate Way

On July 23rd, Supervisor Hoehmann, local historians, and scouts collected historical items, documents or images from residents for the Towns 225th anniversary display.

Congratulations Sunshine Homecare on opening your New City location! Sunshine Homecare has been serving the needs of residents from its Nanuet location for 12 years and has expanded to New City with a 7,000 sq. foot building!

The week of July 14th, Supervisor Hoehmann and town officials welcomed the Inter Exchange Foundation students to Clarkstown! Students came all the way from China to learn about local government in the U.S.! Thanks for visiting!

Supervisor Hoehmann and County Executive Day welcome Hudson Valley Integrated Medicine to Nanuet. They integrate western and eastern medicine to manage pain and medical conditions.

Supervisor Hoehmann and the Rockland Business Association visited Casabella, a successful, international, local business in Congers who designs, assembles, and distributes housewares and cleaning products around the world.

Supervisor Hoehmann helped his rotary Clarkstown Sunrise Rotary present scholarships to 4 well deserving students with Past President Debra Tarantino and President Mitch Kahn. Congratulations Deanna D'Antoni, Alisha Kuriakose, Oscar Moreno, Brianna Pena.

Clarkstown law enforcement memorial ceremony for the officers lost in the Dallas attack on July 7th.

Congratulations Kyran Christopherson of Troop 33 of Nanuet for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout! Supervisor Hoehmann and Councilwoman Adrienne Carey joined Kyran and his family at the Eagle Court of Honor.

Supervisor Hoehmann addressed the NYS Public Service Commission regarding the 13.7% proposed rate hike by Suez Water. The hardworking people of Clarkstown should not have to bail out Suez and its poor business decision of desalinization. June 16, 2016

Supervisor Hoehmann attended the grand opening of Mathnasium of Nanuet, a local math-only learning center that helps kids in grades K-12 understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them.

Supervisor Hoehmann and Town Board members joined the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Harley Davidson to Clarkstown. Harley Davidson, opened a new flagship store at 33 Route 304 in Nanuet.

On June 5, Supervisor Hoehmann joined Councilwoman Adrienne Carey and County Executive Ed Day as John Hraska, Joseph Sarubbi and Justin Matthew, of Troop 2055, became Eagle Scouts.

On June 4th, Supervisor Hoehmann proudly watched Troop 79 present Scouting's Highest Award to Marco D. Amendola, Michael S. Dubner, and Ernest J Vallebuona IV.

Thanks for visiting the Town of Clarkstown Troop 55 from Blauvelt! The Boy Scouts met with Supervisor Hoehmann as a requirement for their Citizenship in Community badge and to discuss how local government works.

The Town Board was joined by District Attorney Tom Zugibe at the Police Department's annual Police Award Ceremony held May 22. Congratulations to Police Officer Thomas Flanagan for receiving the "Officer of the Year" award.

Congratulations to Police K9 “King” on his retirement, after eight years of exemplary service to the Clarkstown Police Department and to the Town. King was trained as a “dual purpose” K-9, trained to detect narcotics, article searches and tracking.

On May 22, Supervisor Hoehmann and Thomas Hoehmann competed in the Supervisor's Challenge kayak race at Lake DeForest Day! Council members John Noto and Adrienne Carey and Legislator Hofstein also attended.

Happy 50th Anniversary to the Nanuet 1 Senior Club! Supervisor Hoehmann was pleased to join the festivities with the Town's Senior Citizen Director Elaine Apfelbaum.

On May 3rd the Town Board recognized Army Sergeant Liz Gessel of New City as Veteran of the Year. She served from 1997 to 2005 stationed in Iraq from 2003 -2004.

On May 11, 2016, Supervisor Hoehmann presented certificates of merit and assisted the New City Chamber and it's President Roxanne Perrone as they awarded four scholarships to graduating seniors from Clarkstown North and South.

The Town Board was honored to attend the 21st Annual Read Aloud at the Nanuet Middle School. Supervisor Hoehmann presented a proclamation to School Superintendent Dr. Mark McNeil.

On April 24, Sean Patrick Doherty became the newest Eagle Scout for Troop 78. For his Eagle Scout project he created an outdoor recreation area at the Hospice of Rockland Joe Raso House. Supervisor Hoehmann and Councilwoman Moldow were honored to attend.

Supervisor Hoehmann proudly joined the CCSD in celebrating 50 years of lacrosse in Rockland County at a recent Clarkstown North High School lacrosse game honoring Coach Michael Goetz who introduced lacrosse to Clarkstown HS North.

Supervisor Hoehmann went to Little Tor Elementary school on 4/12/16, and read "I am Abraham Lincoln" by Brad Meltzer to the 3rd graders.

Nanuet Little League held their opening day on Saturday, April 9th, where Supervisor George Hoehmann and Councilmembers Frank Borelli and John Noto helped kick off the season with the Bambinos.

The TB honored Ed Frank & Howard Goldin, co-founders of S.T.E.P. (schools to end poverty), at the 4/5/16 TB mtg., presenting Ed with a proclamation making 4/5/16 Ed Frank Day for his selfless srvc. to our country and his unwavering dedication to children.

At the April 5 Town Board meeting, the 7th grade St. Francis of Assisi A division basketball team was honored by the Town Board for their 2015-2016 State Championship Title. The champs had an undefeated season, winning 17 games.

On April 1, 2016, Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann met with Cub Scout Pack 233 for their merit badge requirement of meeting with a government leader.

On March 22, 2016, Supervisor Hoehmann visited the Meals on Wheels senior club. Meals on Wheels enhances the wellness of Rockland's seniors and provides a variety of wonderful programs.

On March 12th, Supervisor Hoehmann attended the Eagle Court of Honor at Link Elementary for Connor Allen and Peter Zollinger. Connor and Peter completed exceptional projects at Meadow Hill Nursing Center and Germonds Presbyterian Church respectively.

Glenn Sungela volunteered to restore historical markers throughout Clarkstown. At no cost to the town, Glenn repainted several signs (two specifically were Town of Clarkstown Historical Markers). He was honored by the Town Board at the 3/8/16 TB meeting.

On 3/10/16, Sup'r Hoehmann was honored to be the guest speaker for the NYSDEC, Climate Smart Communities webinar titled Solar Power on Landfills: Case Studies and Lessons Learned. He gave an overview of the process, and lessons learned from the experience

On 2/26/16 NC 5th grader Casey Zuckerman presented a "Use Blinker" traffic sign to Sup'r Hoehmann and Councilwoman Moldow. Casey designed the sign to encourage drivers to use their blinkers, and worked with Highway Sup't DiZenzo to have the sign made.

Supervisor Hoehmann was honored to be the guest speaker at the Rockland Economic Development Corporation Real Estate Council mtg. on 2/19/16, to discuss his econ. dev. plan for the Town. Rick Struck, interim Pres. of REDC is pictured with the Supervisor.

2/9/16 - Sup'r Hoehmann met with Carrington Gregori from Troop 97 in NC to discuss potential Eagle Scout Projects. Carrington is contemplating walking trails at Traphagen or other Town Parks, as well as display cases in Town Hall for historical artifacts.

On Tuesday, February 9, 2016, Supervisor Hoehmann and the Town Board honored the 45th graduating class for Clarkstown Youth Court.
